A message from John Barron - MP

The following positive message was received today from Billericay Conservative MP, John Barron, who believes that our campaign looks very well organised and is looking forward to being able to support the BBRG campaign in the months to come.
John's message is as follows:
"Residents will know that I have long campaigned against development of our greenbelt unless expressly approved by local residents.
Local democracy must prevail. I therefore very much support the campaign, which opposes the development of Burstead Golf Course, and have lobbied the Council on this matter. The problem is that the government has insisted Councils undertake this 'call for sites' exercise whether they want to or not. Our job now is to make the Council absolutely clear as to the strength of opposition on this issue."
